Plant approximately 350mm to 750mm apart depending on how dense you would like your hedge.
For an instant dense hedge, plant approximately 350mm to 450mm apart.
Height at Maturity
Can grow to approximately 4–5 metres tall, however it can easily be maintained at any height with regular pruning.
Environmental Requirements
Soil
Performs best in deep, well-drained loamy soil. Avoid poorly drained areas.
Climate
Can tolerate a wide range of Australian climates.
Durability
Excellent psyllid resistance.
Care Tips
Great results occur from regular feeding using a quality organic or all-purpose fertiliser.
For best results, apply a slow-release fertiliser in spring — preferably one designed to feed for up to 12 months.
Extremely easy to maintain and highly rewarding when regularly shaped.
Important Pruning Advice
Major trimming and shaping should only be carried out during Spring and Summer while the plant is actively growing.
Regular trimming during the warmer growing season encourages beautiful dense new growth and a fuller hedge.
Remember: the more regularly you shape and prune your hedge during active growth, the better the results.
Design Benefits
• Excellent for confined spaces due to upright growth
• Ideal as a thin privacy hedge
• Perfect for tall screening in narrow areas
• Great along pathways and fences
• Performs beautifully in large containers on patios and balconies
